Over 970 people (a record number) attended the Weekend of Champions in Grand Island November 7-8. Student-athletes, college huddle leaders, and adult FCA volunteers from across the state were impacted by the Gospel message and the relationships they experience at this event.
Keith Chancey spoke at the main assemblies sharing his story and challenging the attendees with the Gospel message. Many students indicated they made first time commitments to follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord throughout the weekend.
One student commented, “Going into this weekend I was honestly a little nervous…However, I feel so much more in love with Christ and I am thankful for that. I know now that Jesus will love me no matter what I do.”
Another student shared, “I don’t come from a very religious family, in fact, I’m the only one who owns a Bible and I’m also the only one in my family of six to go to church every Sunday! This weekend has allowed me to accept Christ as my Savior, and I am so beyond blessed for this opportunity.”
