After several months of planning the Sidney FCA held their 1st Huddle the evening of January 24th, 2012. WOW! It was a time of fun, fellowship and focus on God for the 37 students who attended. The group began with a game of protect the president and since it was our first Huddle Meeting – Huddle Coach Sarah Wilson lead the students in a trivia game which engaged the students and created enthusiasm. Sarah then spoke to the students about our plan verses Gods Plan, giving examples of Christian athletes such as Tim Tebow and Rex Burkhead who stand firm on God’s plan and their faith both on and off the field. The students were offered FCA student bibles, scripture stones and some fun Sidney Raider spirit items which were all donated. The students are making plans to design their own FCA T-shirts as well as looking forward to FCA Camp in the summer and No Compromise Weekend coming in March! It is all about God’s timing and His plan. We are blessed to not only have this huddle but also have over 35 adults who are involved in the Sidney FCA Booster Club and it is still growing. We are excited to see what God is going to do in our community to not only support this huddle but also see other FCA programs take place in an effort to reach our athletes and coaches for Jesus Christ. A Special Thanks to all who have donated money, time and resources and are willing to follow their calling to serve in the Sidney FCA.
