On November 19-21, four men from Kearney had the opportunity to compete in the 17th Annual National FCA Golf Scramble.  Qualifying at the 2010 Tom Osborne FCA Golf Scramble held at Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Kearney residents Ron Eckloff, Robert Moncrief, Tim Valleau, and Jack Wilkins traveled to Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Johns County, Floriday for the championship. They, along with 89 other teams competed for three days of play on The Palencia Club in St. Augustine and TPC Sawgrass’ THE PLAYERS Stadium and Dye’s Valley Courses in Ponte Vedra Beach.

In addition to a memorable golf experience, the team enjoyed a dinner banquet featuring Champions Tour Chaplain TomRandall, and special guest interviews with Champions Tour player Fred Funk and his wife Sharon.

Each year, the Central Nebraska Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosts its annual Tom Osborne FCA Golf Scramble and qualifies one team to compete in the National FCA Scramble Championship.  Plans are already underway for the 2011 FCA Golf Scramble.  Check back to the calendar section of our website in the coming weeks to find out more information!
