High 5 Relay is a race like no other. 5 is the theme. 5 racers per team, 5 courses, 5 terrains, high 5 exchanges, in 5 hours, 55 minutes and 55 seconds. One runner per team will be out on one of the five courses at a time while the rest of the team is strategizing their next move to gain the most points the fastest. Each course begins and ends at the Pavilion with a high 5 acting as the baton pass between teammates. The goal is not to finish first, but to accumulate the most points before time runs out. Each course will be given its own point value based off of the speed and difficulty of the course. It’s up to you to strategize between distance and terrain and consider which course best suits each runner’s strengths. To survive and win this race it will be a test of both your physical and mental will to win.
High 5 Relay will have a family focus to the event with families encouraged to attend to support the runners and join in the festivities and listen to the Live Band and music. There will be a kids’ obstacle course race for kids up to 15 years old. Each kids entry also includes two park activity tickets to any of the following: Water Park, Mini Golf, Activity Center, Craft Center, or Paddle Boats. There also will be a poster making station and other activities on site for the whole family to join in the fun. There will be vendors and plenty for the whole family to enjoy throughout the entire event.

And if the race didn’t sound exciting enough already, we are thrilled to announce that US Olympian and American half marathon record holder Ryan Hall will be joining us for our inaugural race. Meet one of the premier faces in American distance running and hear Ryan talk about life, running, and the most important things he has learned over the course of his career. There will be vendors and plenty for the whole family to enjoy throughout the entire event.
