FCA-Nebraska Announces Summer Interns

The purpose of the FCA internship program is to provide an opportunity for college student athletes to work with FCA Staff as they consider what it would look like to serve the Lord through a career in Coaching or on staff with FCA.

Nebraska FCA is excited to announce its summer interns for the 2016 year and would like to welcome them to our team!  Please pray for them as they raise support and serve the Lord through FCA this summer.  If you would be interested in supporting one or more of these interns, please contact your local FCA office.  Please take time to learn a little about each of them below:

Michael Holdsworth – Cross Country – Creighton

Hi, my name is Michael Holdsworth and I’m currently a redshirt junior at Creighton studying Public Relations and Journalism heading into my final semester of college. I grew up in rural Illinois and my high school didn’t have an FCA huddle, so I first joined my freshman year at Creighton, and have spent two incredible weeks at the Pella FCA camp as a cross country huddle leader. I love watching and playing pretty much every sport, and have played competitive soccer, basketball, baseball, and football before I found my true passion in distance running. I’m really excited to be working with FCA this summer and to glorify God through His gift of sports.

I look forward to being a part of the FCA staff this summer!!

fletcher

Megan Fletcher-Volleyball-Doane College

I’m Megan Fletcher and will be graduating from Doane College (or University) in May 2016 with a major in Exercise Science and two minors in Psychology and Biology.  I was a part of the Doane volleyball team all four years of college and it’s because of volleyball that my relationship with Christ and passion for FCA have grown so much.  I know that the Lord called me to Doane, not to be an All-American volleyball player but to be a light for Him, an ambassador for Him.  Volleyball was just a specific area where I was able to really be bold and spread the gospel to teammates and grow in my personal faith with Christ.  I cannot thank Him enough for that.  Now that I will be graduating, I am so looking forward to see what the heck the Lord is going to provide next in our adventure of life.  Luckily, He has allowed me the opportunity to serve with FCA for the summer and I cannot express how pumped I am!  As always, Go Tigers! 🙂
