Last fall, God brought together nearly six months’ worth of prayer, seeking the Lord, and diligent preparation by some very motivated volunteers. After not having a FCA huddle in Beatrice for a number of years, Steve Hovendick and Bryan Seibel approached the FCA staff and launched the Beatrice FCA Booster Club. Steve and Bryan began pursuing people within the community and 16 individuals stepped up with a desire to use their talents to support what the Lord was doing through the ministry.
The vision to host an event to raise awareness for FCA in Beatrice became a Kick Off Event following a home volleyball game with Husker Football player Eric Hagg. Over 200 people heard Eric share his testimony of how the Lord has used FCA to teach him who Jesus is and what He’s done on the cross, taking the penalty sitting against our sin and giving us His righteousness, and trained him how to compete in view of that mercy. The crowd asked great questions and were able to grab a few autographs before the night was over.
The next morning, God prompted 32 Beatrice High School students to attend the first FCA Huddle meeting with Huddle Coaches Jodi Fakler and Abby Kassmeier. Please pray for the Beatrice Booster Club and Huddle to continue to advance the Gospel in Beatrice.
